University of Illinois Extension is excited to present the 24th-Annual Stateline Fruit and Vegetable Growers Conference at Midway Village Museum, Rockford, Illinois. This conference addresses common issues facing fruit and vegetable growers, with the hopes of providing the most up-to-date information to ensure a successful growing season and business.

KEY NOTE SPEAKER

This year, our keynote presentation will be an “Overview of Small Fruit and Orchard Weed Management” by Dr. Jed Colquhoun of the University of Wisconsin.  Dr. Colquhoun is an UW Extension Specialist with a focus on weed management in specialty crops production.

SPECIAL SESSION

We will also be offering a special session at the end of the day on hemp production for specialty growers. Phil Alberti, University of Illinois Commercial Agriculture Extension Educator, has worked in hemp production outreach since 2018 and will provide this overview of hemp production to those that are interested.

REGISTRATION

The registration fee is $40 per person, and $30 for additional employees of the same farm. This fee includes one general education session, your choice of three breakout sessions and lunch*.

EARLY-BIRD REGISTRATION! Register before Monday, February 3rd to receive $5 off each person you are registering! $35 for the first person, and $25 for each additional employee of the same farm.

A buffet lunch will be provided by Machine Shed this year. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions though.

*Due to our catering deadline, we are unable to provide a lunch for anyone who registers after 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, February 19th. There are multiple food options available within a few miles of the conference center.
