Persian shield produces silver and magenta leaves with a metallic sheen. Leaves often grow to 8 inches long on plants that grow upright to about 3 feet. Persian shield grows best in full sun to very light shade. Persian shield benefits from occasional pinching to keep it from getting leggy. This plant can be overwintered as a houseplant.
