Recipe Corner

Done right, after school snacks can give kids the energy they need for sports, band practice, or any other after-school activities. Skip those high-sugar snacks, and go for nutritious foods that will keep young bodies going strong until dinnertime.

Zippy Corn Chips Ingredients
  • 1 package soft corn tortillas
  • Cooking oil spray
  • Salt-free seasoning blend (like Mrs. Dash® or some other similar product)
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cut tortillas into wedges and put on a cookie sheet.
  3. Spray tortillas lightly with cooking spray.
  4. Sprinkle tortillas with seasoning blend.
  5. Place in oven and bake 7-10 minutes or until lightly brown and crisp.
  6. Cool and then store in a plastic bag.
