Recipe Corner

If your grandkids like pizza, they're sure to like this recipe for Pizza Pockets. Add a salad and some fruit, and you have a well-rounded meal.

Pizza Pockets - (8 servings) Ingredients
  • 1 can of large biscuits - 8 per can
  • Filling of your choice, such as diced, cooked ham, pepperoni, chopped vegetables, or mozzarella cheese
  • A small amount of pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce. You'll use about one tablespoon of sauce on each biscuit
  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Separate biscuits and press each to form a 5-inch circle.
  3. Place pressed biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Spread a tablespoon of sauce on half of each biscuit circle.
  5. Add a small amount of fillings.
  6. Fold the pizza circle in half, pressing the edges with a fork to seal.
  7. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden.
