Practice using your food labels to assess your calcium intake.
On the Nutrition Facts label first look at the serving size. Is this the amount you usually eat?
Next look at the %DV for calcium. Enter that amount below:
% DV calcium x 10 = 0 mg of calcium.
Any calcium helps to add up to your total needs.
However, a good source of calcium will have 100-190 mg of calcium per serving.
An excellent source of calcium will have more than 200 mg of calcium per serving.
