Nora Feuquay joined University of Illinois Extension in January 2009 as the Community and Economic Development Educator in Monroe County. Feuquay has a bachelors degree in journalism from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a MBA from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN. She comes to Extension with 20 plus years experience in journalism, public relations and economic development.
She works closely with the economic development organizations in Madison, Monroe and St. Clair counties to bring programming that benefits the organizations and their clients. Areas she works in include entrepreneurship, social networking/marketing, strategic planning, community development, resource development and business development.
Feuquay has helped develop programs such as a countywide revolving loan fund for small businesses, an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Recovery Zone program, a shop local program, and a social networking/marketing program.
