Nancy Esarey Ouedraogo (State Specialist, Community and Economic Development) manages UI Extension's local government education webinars, community survey tool, and supports her team in program planning and facilitative leadership. Her experiences include database management and training for University of Illinois international services, performance data analysis for the City of Bloomington, non-profit support and research, non-profit management overseas, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and data analysis and evaluation of statewide educational programs in North Carolina. Nancy holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She earned a Master of Science in Applied Community Development (POL sequence) as an ISU Stevenson Center Coverdell Fellow, with a capstone in public management (public administration) and data-driven decision-making. As a Stevenson Fellow, she was awarded the Women of Distinction WINGS award for her work with the City of Bloomington, the Alice Ebel award for women entering public service, and the Civic Engagement Award with the ISU Department of Politics and Government. She serves the city of Urbana as an appointed official on the Plan Commission and the Urbana Design Review Board. She is currently a member of the Community Development Society (CDS) and the Illinois Association of Community Development Extension Professionals (IL-ACDEP).
