Jenny Lee is the Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Program Coordinator in Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Moultrie, and Shelby counties. Lee began her Extension career in 2017 as the 4-H Program Coordinator for Coles County. Prior to Extension, she was a Conservation Police Officer for the Department of Natural Resources from 2000 to 2017, where she served as the lead boat accident investigator, defense tactics instructor, and evidence officer.

In addition to managing, promoting, and providing programming for the Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists, Lee works with partners in her community on projects such as community gardens, promoting environmental stewardship, and assisting with education.

Lee earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Western Illinois University and is currently working towards her Master’s in Natural Resources and Environmental Science at the University of Illinois in Champaign.

Lee is a member of Pheasants Forever, and the Environmental Education Association of Illinois. She enjoys reading, baking, and being outside.
