Additional Notes: When planted in alkaline soils, this tree may exhibit chlorosis (yellowing leaves) due to a manganese deficiency. Excessively vigorous root system can clog sewer pipes and break sidewalks. This species grows quickly which leads to weak wood that is prone to storm damage.
