New York For more than 75 years, at 9 am sharp, this magical parade has touched the hearts of wide-eyes kids of all ages. Macy's Parade "is" Thanksgiving, isn't it? From 81st Street and Central Park West, traveling south to Columbus Circle, then south on Broadway to Macy's headquarters on 34th Street, the parade draws millions to New York and lots more to their television sets every year. This year's lead balloon is Bandleader Mickey Mouse, and the parade has special appearances by BB Mak, Jessica Simpson, Emeril Lagasse, the Music Man Broadway Show and is hosted by Matt Lauer and Katie Couric from the Today Show. And, as is tradition, at 12pm, Santa Claus arrives at Herald Square to finish the parade and begin the holiday season.
