Small Tract Management Workshops in February

There are two opportunities to learn how to manage your acreage – one in Kankakee and the other in Rockford. Owners or future purchasers of five to twenty acres of land will want to attend this multi-session program. Participants will be able to choose from a wide selection of topics: how to manage a pond, small flocks, pastures, and weeds. Other topics are creating natural areas and wildlife habitat, home gardening, wind breaks, and composting. There will be sessions on marketing what you raise, business potential, and Internet resources. Participants will also meet local agency personnel that will explain how they can be of assistance to small tract landowners.
