Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) is a statewide educational program. Its goal is to help students, teachers, and the general public gain a greater awareness of the role of agriculture in the economy and society.  Ag in the Classroom is offered through University of Illinois Extension in Ogle County in partnership with Ogle County Farm Bureau, Carroll County Farm Bureau, Ogle County Soil & Water, and Carroll County Soil & Water.

Volunteers Needed

Ag in the Classroom, in cooperation with The Grange, will offer a food stand at the Ogle County Fair. Volunteers are needed to work 3-hour shifts. Proceeds from the food stand go to the Ag in the Classroom program. Contact Melinda to volunteer. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Shifts:

  • July 29: 3 - 6 PM, 6 - 9 PM
  • July 30: 10 AM - 1 PM, 1 - 4 PM, 4 - 7 PM, 7 - 10 PM
  • August 1: 10 AM - 1 PM, 1 - 4 PM, 4 - 7 PM, 7 - 10 PM
  • August 2: 10 AM - 1 PM, 1 - 4 PM
