In October, University of Illinois Extension will conduct training for individuals to acquire the Certified Food Protection Manager Certification required by the Illinois Food Code. This training is for restaurant food managers, school cafeteria administration, food bank volunteers and others in related roles, and will be offered in partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank. The two-day program includes October 8 from 9 am to 3 pm and October 11 from 9 am to noon, followed by an examination from 2 to 4 pm. All will be located at Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva.
