School Garden Informational Meeting

Event Date(s)
Location
U of I Extension, Peoria branch office, 4810 N Sheridan Rd, Peoria 61614

Gardening allows children to connect with nature and has a positive impact on learning. A school garden becomes an outdoor classroom to teach math, science, history, reading, and more.

Join Horticulture, SNAP-Ed and 4-H Youth Development educators to learn more about what it takes to implement a school garden. School gardens can be successful with a team approach. Administrators, teachers, teacher aides, lunchroom staff, school volunteers, and custodians are examples of great team members for a school garden. All are welcome to attend.
