This seminar will discuss a statewide field study on insect species and populations found in cover crops, along with a discussion of cover crops as the best solution for absorbing mineralized N during the non-growing season, especially following soybean harvest. Speakers are Dr. Nick Seiter, Research Entomologist, and Lowell Gentry, Principal Research Scientist, both from the University of Illinois. Two Certified Crop Advisor continuing education units in IPM and Nutrient Management (one hour each) are available. 

The seminar will be at the Morgan County Extension office from 10 to noon on December 13.
