Teen Teacher Training CORE

4-H Teen Teachers practice leadership by teaching others and sharing their passions. They are trained in working with youth, presentation techniques, and lesson development to better prepare them to be great teachers - and great leaders - to young audiences. Teen teachers work with others to develop lessons and deliver them effectively.

Sign up for this CORE training to learn the basics of teaching youth programs and take the first step to become an official 4-H teen teacher!

Open To:  Any 4-H member 14 years old or older as of September 1st

Training Requirements: To become a 4-H teen teacher, each member is required to attend:

  • At least one CORE training (topics include working with youth, experiential learning, proper teacing techniques, and classroom management. Teens only have to receive this training once in their 4-H career. You do NOT need to attend again if you have already attended.
  • At least one CURRICULUM training in EACH content area that they want to teach. Tentative curriculum dates are below. Topics will be announced later: 
    • Saturday, March 21st
    • Saturday, April 4th 

Cost:  FREE OF CHARGE. Lunch and all necessary supplies will be provided.
