Notes on the Event Schedule Change

The impact of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) continues to create uncertainty and concern both globally and here in our community. In accordance with University of Illinois policy, Illinois Extension has deployed public health strategies designed to protect everyone’s health and safety.  Effective March 18, ALL Extension offices and University sponsored locations will be closed to the public until further notice.

Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) is a national multi-species quality assurance program for youth ages 8 to 21 with a focus on three core pillars: food safety, animal well-being, and character development.

Youth wishing to show the following animals will need to complete the training prior to their 4-H Fair:

  • Pigs
  • Beef Cattle
  • Dairy Cattle
  • Sheep
  • Goats
  • Market Rabbits
  • Poultry

There is a $3 fee to attend this training.    You may take the training online at your convenience for a fee of $12.
