Join the Livingston County Master Gardeners on Saturday, April 4 for a morning filled with flowers, food and fun at 'A Day in the Garden Patch.'

University of Illinois Extension is proud to present Tiffany Yoder, from Nature's Designs by Tiff in Fairbury, IL. She will demonstrate how to create beautiful 'Budget Bouquets' for your space using nothing more than items around the home and flowers cut from your own garden or bundle from the grocery store. Create a stunning table centerpiece, and hanging door piece, and small giftable arrangement. Learn tips and tricks to keep your blooms lasting longer.

Fresh flowers can brighten a home and make someone smile. Livingston County Master Gardeners will share how to grow your own cut flowers this year in your backyard—from planning, planting, caring, and harvesting. Learn about beautiful flowers, grasses, bulbs, and shrubs you can use for cutting and making into your own gorgeous arrangement.

Come let your flower knowledge bloom while playing a fun game of BINGO based on great cut flowers! Attendees will leave with a garden trug filled with cut flower plants and seeds in your very own garden!

A $20 registration fee includes morning refreshments, 3 workshops and garden trug filled with cut flower plants and seeds. Check-In and light refreshments will be available at 8:30 a.m., with the workshops beginning at 9 a.m. The program will be hosted at the University of Illinois Extension-Livingston County Office at 1412 South Locust Street, Pontiac. Pre-registration is required.
