Join the Woodford County Master Gardeners for a morning of garden fun and camaraderie.

Registration fee includes morning refreshments, 3 workshops and a collection of summer bulbs. Check-in and light refreshments will be available at 8:30 a.m. Workshops begin at 9 a.m.

Dahlias, Gladiolas, Cannas, and More: Spring Planting for Beautiful Summer Bulbs - Candice Hart, State Master Gardener Specialist

Not all bulbs are to be planted in the fall. Learn about the various flowering “bulbs” you can plant this spring and enjoy all summer long. We’ll discuss the different species available, proper planting practice, as well as tips and tricks for digging and storing these for winter. Summer bulbs dahlias, cannas, caladiums, elephant ears, gladiolus, callas, and eucomis will be covered.

Diblik has a fresh perspective on perennial gardening, outlining specifics on bed preparation, plant selection, garden designs, watering, and weed maintenance that give clients an easy-to-care-for garden.
