4-H Cooking 101 SPIN Club

We want YOU to join us for 4-H Cooking 101 SPIN Club 2020!

Join the 4-H Cooking 101 SPIN Club on ZOOM to learn more about:

  • Snacks
  • Side Dishes
  • Main Dishes
  • Quick Breads
  • Desserts
  • Food safety
  • Kitchen safety
  • Measuring
  • Introduction to cooking
  • Food preservation

You will be need to gather supplies and ingredients prior to the class and have access to a device with video viewing capabilities. 

We will also review planned projects for the fair so you can put your best foot forward in competition!

This class is taught by one of our 4-H Teen Teachers, Frank Herff, along with one of our wonderful volunteers, Denise Woolridge. 

 

TWO classes are being offered: either first time participants OR Those that were members in Cooking 101 last year.

  1. Beginning Cooking 101 members @ 9:30 am via ZOOM
  2. Returning Cooking 101 members @ 10:30 via ZOOM

Tentative Class Dates - Meetings will be online via ZOOM

  1. Saturday, May 30
  2. Saturday, June 6
  3. Saturday, June 13
  4. Saturday, June 20
  5. Saturday, June 27
  6. Saturday, July 11
  7. Saturday, July 18 - (no class - exhibit assistance only)

Current members and NEW to 4-H youth WELCOME! This is a great opportunity to try 4-H! 

  • Returning members should be sure you have added the club to your 4HOnline enrollment.
  • If you are new to 4-H, please be sure to enroll at: http://il.4honline.com , pay the $20 4-H enrollment fee and return Extension Participation form to 1102 McConnell Rd, P.O. Box 1430, Woodstock, IL 60098

  • There is NO deadline to join 4-H, however, to participate in this year’s 4-H Fair judging, members must be enrolled by April 30, 2020. 

Enroll Online: 

  • 4-H Online is our online enrollment system in the Cooking 101 Club in 4HOnline.  
  • Select FOOD - 4-H Cooking 101 as your project area.
    • (since we are past the original registration date due to unusual circumstances, you will need to contact the Extension office to have the project added)
