"Yes! You CAN: Preserving Practice - Tomatoes" will offer you plenty of hands-on experience preparing and preserving tomatoes and tomato products! You will learn how to add acid to tomatoes and tomato products, how to safely can salsa, and identify various trouble-shooting remedies. You will also have the opportunity to review the basics of home canning, receive the latest safety guidelines, and practice hands-on canning in the kitchen. You will receive a great deal of new resources and recipes, as well as jars of the products you prepare in class to take home and enjoy. 

"Yes! You CAN: Preserving Practice - Tomatoes" will meet for two sessions, Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday, July 2 from 5:30-7:30 at the Livingston County Extension Office (1412 S Locust, Pontiac, IL). 

There is a program fee of $15 per person.
