Join us for a free virtual workshop for youth ages 8-15
Most new innovations are not truly new. Instead, they are built upon existing technologies, or they use existing technologies in a new way. Together we will build electromagnets and explore how electromagnets have been used as part of some other surprising technologies!
Date: August 29th
Time: 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Where: Anywhere you have internet access, the workshop will be held on Zoom.
Materials will be provided free of charge, with a no-contact pickup from our McLean County Extension Office.
Materials: magnet, 2-3" machine screw*, nut*, 2 fender washers*, 1-2 meters of wire (depending on gauge), 1.5V battery (* size is not important, as long as they match)
