It’s time to get a head start on the upcoming garden season by starting seedlings indoors. Growing quality seedlings indoors requires proper planning for adequate conditions to start seedling off right.

Join University of Illinois Extension horticulture educator, Andrew Holsinger as he presents a variety of techniques for starting seeds indoors. This program will take place online via Zoom.

The cost to register is $5.00. Participants that sign up by February 1, will be able to pick up a seed starter kit. The kit includes the following: seed tray, with watertight base tray, humidity dome, plant label, soil and seeds.

Kits will be available for pick up at the following locations: Christian County Extension Office, Jersey County Extension Office, Macoupin County Extension Office and Montgomery County Extension Office, please call your local office ahead of time to make arrangements.
