Spring is characterized by a fury of activity on Illinois farms. In the rush to get crops in the ground, safety and health is not always a priority and every year agricultural-related injuries spike. COVID-19 also presents new health and safety challenges to farmers.

Stay safe during this critical time with a free webinar about how to prevent common farm injuries and illness. These practical tips and seasonal reminders are appropriate for large and small-scale Illinois agriculture producers and farm families.

This session is hosted by University of Illinois Extension and Illinois AgrAbility. It will be presented by Josie M. Rudolphi and Salah Issa from the College of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. Dr. Rudolphi’s research focuses on agricultural safety and health, youth agricultural work and injury prevention and mental health. Dr. Issa’s research is focused on injury prevention through predictive algorithms and implementing technologies that reduce or remove hazards.
