Teen Teacher Training March 20 via ZOOM
So you want to be a TEACHER?
Come and learn to develop your leadership and teaching skills so you can implement hands-on learning experiences for younger youth.
- Who: Youth ages 13-18
- When: Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 10:00-12:30
- Where: Virtually on ZOOM - You will receive the ZOOM link in the confirmation email.
- Supplies needed: A short supply list will be emailed to you prior to the training

NOTE: this training will require a minimum of SIX attendees BY SUNDAY MARCH 10 or the class will be rescheduled for a later date.

Learning to Teach...
The Teen Teacher program is based on an experiential learning model.
- EXPERIENCE – Plan and teach activities for younger youth in your subject area (e.g. nutrition, robotics, gardening)
- SHARE –Share ideas with other Teen Teachers and Adult Mentors
- PROCESS – Opportunities to reflect on what worked and what could be changed to improve the learning experience
- GENERALIZE – Make changes to the activities as needed to support learning, keep younger youth engaged, and manage needs of different learners
- APPLY – Cycles of teaching, reflection and revision of plans over a period of at least 6 program sessions
