Beef, Sheep, Swine, Goat, and Dairy Cattle (with live animals as a project)

Statewide requirement is that members in these projects must complete YQCA –Youth for the Quality Care of Animals, in order to show and be premium eligible.

Must be done every year they are in the project. Premiums are only given to those exhibitors who complete it. State Fair entries will only be approved for those who complete it.

There are two options:

1. youth may take training individually online at any time: http://yqca.org -Cost for this is $12 per person.

Or

2.Youth may attend one in-person training, approx. one hour long. If you are unable to attend on the Peoria County date you can attend in a neighboring county if they have space.In person training for Peoria County -Wednesday, May 5, 6:30 pm at the Kickapoo Township Hall—go to learngrow.io -register with your 4-H Online information and then find the date May 5.-

Pre-registration online is required for the in-person training.

-$3 per person online payment ahead of time is required for an in-person training.

IMPORTANT: Participants must pay in advance -payment cannot be made the evening of the training.•Adults may attend with their kids, but do not register. Adults may not be certified through this 4-H training.
