Illinois regulations require food establishments to have at least one Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) on staff. University of Illinois Extension offers the Food Protection Manager Certification course and examination, which is required every 5 years. University of Illinois Extension uses the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals examination, which is approved by the American National Standards Institute. Participants learn about basic food safety, personal hygiene, cross-contamination and allergens, time and temperature, and cleaning and sanitation.

This class will meet on May 10, 2021, and May 11, 2021, from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM via Zoom. The exam will be split into two testing groups on May 12, 2021, the first from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM and the second from 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM at the Woodford County Farm Bureau (117 W. Center Street, Eureka, IL). Please bring a photo ID on the day of the exam. 

There is a program fee of $125 per person. This fee is for the purchase of the book, examination, and materials. Participants will be able to pick up materials from the Woodford County Extension Office two weeks prior to class.

Note: Parking at the Woodford County Farm Bureau is accessible off of N. Callendar Street. The exam will be located in the upstairs meeting room. Participants will walk down the long hallway until they see the stairs on the right. Masks and social distancing will be required during the examination.
