Have you ever wanted to learn how to can all those delicious strawberries into shelf-stable jam? University of Illinois Extension is here to help!  This hands-on workshop will teach how to make strawberry jam using pectin and safely preserving it through water bath canning.

Each participant will take home a jar of homemade strawberry jam and receive other canning recipes.

This workshop will also discuss the differences in jams, jellies, conserves, marmalade, and troubleshoot canning issues. Participants under 16 are required to have an adult present. There will be another youth-centered class held on the morning of June 8, 2021.

Space is limited so register soon! There is a $5.00 cost to cover the cost of canning supplies.
