Are you ready to start composting? Join Emily Swihart, horticulture educator, and Kristin Bogdonas, nutrition and wellness educator, for a make-n-take workshop and learn about vermicomposting; using worms to decompose organic food waste, turning the waste into a nutrient-rich material for use in your garden and potted plants. You will go home with a vermicomposting bin, red wrigglers (composting worms) and instructions on how to care for and maintain your worm bin throughout the year. You will be able to start composting your food scraps right away! 

*The worm bin make-n-take will take place at University of Illinois Extension, 321 W 2nd Ave. Milan, Ill and be limited to 8 people, socially distanced, masks required.
