Discover Brain Health Series: Know the Ten Signs: Early Detection Matters Presented by the Alzheimer's Association

Discover Brain Health Series is a research-informed series that educates adults about normal memory change and aging, highlights healthy brain contributors and offers tips and strategies to lessen everyday forgetfulness. Illinois Extension partners with the Alzheimer’s Association on a session to increase awareness of common signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.

All sessions are offered at Catlin Library (101 Mapleleaf Dr., Catlin, IL 61817) on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. from September 21 - October 12. 

The Discover Brain Health Series Schedule 

  • September 21| Hold That Thought
    This workshop will look at the memory process and what researchers say contributes to brain health, as well as strategies for helping with everyday forgetfulness.
  • September 28 | Fits Wits
    Fit Wits focuses on learning about how the brain works and lifestyle factors that may increase the chance of cognitive decline.
  • October 5 | Head Strong
    By attending the Head Strong program, you can learn more about what you can do to keep your brain healthy and engaged.
  • October 12 | Know the Ten Signs: Early Detection Matters
    Presented by the Alzheimer's Association
    This program includes a basic overview of Alzheimer's disease and covers risk factors, diagnosis, and the benefits of early detection.
