Our Nutrition & Wellness Educator, Lisa Peterson, will be presenting a Serve it Safely for Volunteers Workshop, which teaches safety principles for volunteer organizations.

Selling and serving food remains a popular fundraising activity for community groups. Any time your group sells food, certain procedures need to be followed to ensure that the food is wholesome, safe, and at low risk for causing foodborne illness. Serve it Safely, addresses these issues in a fun and interactive workshop!

Topics Include: Planning for the Event, Storing Food Supplies, Preparing Food, Transporting & Storing, Serving of Food, and Handling Leftovers.

The workshop cost is $10, including a take-home manual and thermometer. Please register by Feb. 20, 2023
