Red Oak Rain Garden

Located on the University of Illinois' Urbana campus, the Red Oak Rain Garden is a 10,000 sf demonstration site that educates the public about sustainable garden design and exemplary rainwater management. It is also a venue for public workshops and events. Illinois Extension/Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant staff direct and manage the garden. Champaign County Master Gardeners and East Central Illinois Master Naturalists volunteer in the garden to provide a source of inspiration, relaxation, and continuing education for our community and its visitors.
