Amy Wiley joined the University of Illinois Extension team in 2019 as an Office Support Associate for Schuyler and Pike Counties. She holds an Associate in Arts degree from Grand Rapids Community College, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University.
Amy’s responsibilities include marketing and communications for our five counties. Amy designs marketing and promotional materials and updates the website and social medial accounts. She also produces the Extension in Action newsletter and the annual Impact Report. Amy also manages the financial records for the SNAP-Ed program. Additionally, she provides program support to colleagues and works closely with community partners in Schuyler and Pike Counties. She appreciates the broad scope of her duties, which allow her to exercise the qualitative and quantitative areas of her brain. “I love that no two days are the same,” she says. “I also deeply value the people I work with each day and the fun, positive atmosphere they create.”
Outside of Extension, Amy is a married mother of four. She enjoys spending time with her family and close group of friends. As a hobby, she has recently taken up golf. Amy is an active community volunteer. She has volunteered for her local theater, served as a foster child advocate, and coached youth sports. At present, she is the vice president of a local youth sports organization, assists a local arts non-profit with special events, helps a local food assistance program with packing for distribution, and has recently joined a community-focused fraternal organization.
