Karen Davis coordinates Master Gardener training in botany, entomology, woody and herbaceous ornamentals, plant diseases, integrated pest management, vegetables, fruits, composting, soils, and lawn care. The volunteer program also provides continuing education and seasonal events. She also organizes community outreach presentations for libraries and garden clubs through the Speakers Bureau and Help Desks. The community and donation gardens overseen by DuPage County Master Gardeners reach youth, special needs individuals, older adults, veterans, and the food insecure. She facilitates the Master Gardener Help Line servicing homeowners’ questions. An avid cook and gardener, parent of a 4-H member, and Master Naturalist intern she is passionate about all things Extension.
Karen received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an Associates of Science Degree in Horticulture from the College of Lake County.
