Stacia McKeever joined University of Illinois Extension in November 2022 serving Henderson, Knox, McDonough, and Warren Counties. McKeever is responsible for communicating the values and mission of Extension. She connects local communities to the plethora of valuable resources available to them by designing materials to promote the types of programming, and by advertising events using social, digital, and traditional media outlets. She works to expand Extension’s reach and diversify the stakeholders staff engage with by strengthening community partnerships, fostering new relationships with local organizations, and creating impact reports to track progress. Drawing on her background as a librarian and educator, Stacia is passionate about creating equitable access to trusted information and instilling a love for lifelong learning in others.

McKeever holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Western Illinois University, a Master of Fine Arts degree from Indiana University, and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from University of Illinois where faculty nominated her for the Edith Harris Camp Award. This award is given to the student who inspires and cares for others with courage, creativity, art, laughter, and friendship; Stacia is thrilled to share this attitude in all her Extension work. She grew up in McDonough County and is dedicated to serving and enriching the area that helped shape her.
