The University of Illinois Extension will be offering the award winning youth preparedness and educational outreach program "Illinois Youth Disaster Preparedness Initiative, MyPI", to youth ages 15 – 19 in Jasper County.
The MyPI program will start Tuesday, February 11, and will be held every Tuesday through March 24 from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm In addition to the seven week program there will be one required Saturday, March 14, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, so attendees can get certified in CPR and AED training. All programming will take place at the Sunrise Youth Center and Community Building, 1401 Clayton Ave., Newton, IL 62448
The MyPI Program is free but pre-registration is required. The deadline to enroll is February 4, 2020.
