Center Vision

Building upon the strengths and resources within the College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences and University of Illinois Extension, the Center for Food Systems, Nutrition Security, and Health Integration addresses current challenges with practical, evidence-based solutions to enhance the health and wellbeing of Illinois residents, families, and communities. 
 

The Center’s work spans the Illinois food system, including small farms and agribusinesses; processing; aggregation and distribution; markets and communities; and households and health. Through collaborative research, education, and outreach, the Center advances work that strengthens food systems, nutrition security, and health outcomes.
