2025 Agronomy Field Day

Join us for the 2025 Ag Field Day at the University of Illinois Research farm in Monmouth, Illinois. The Northwestern Illinois Agriculture Research and Demonstration Farm is hosting a field day on July 23, 2025. 

We will be doing in-field tours and talks, so this is a true field day! 

Speakers include Giovani Preza Fontes, Connor Sible, Logan Miller, Travis Wilke, and John Jones. Topics covered will include nitrogen on soybeans, harvest physiology and yield potential for corn and soybean, early planted soybean and Group 15 herbicide resistance, and links between corn yield response to nitrogen and sulfur, potassium, or conservation practices.

In an attempt to beat the summer heat, the program will start at 8:30 a.m. and run until 11:30 a.m. A lunch of ribeye sandwiches will be served following the tour.
