Jasper Co. Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) for 8-11 years old

Event Date(s)

This YQCA Training is for 8-11 years old only.

The YQCA is a new livestock quality assurance program that is replacing PQA which no longer exists. It also replaces the Quality Assurance & Ethics (QAEC) program for youth in the following species; dairy cattle, beef cattle, swine, sheep, and goats. All 4-H exhibitors of these animals will be required to certify in the YQCA program yearly starting for the 2020 show season.

This face to face class will be held on February 20, 2020 at the Jasper Extension Office, 1401 Clayton Ave., Newton, IL 62448.

The program will begin at 6:30 PM.

Registration for this program is required.

Note: The Quality Assurance and Ethics training is still required for all youth that enroll in horses, rabbits, poultry, dogs, and cats. Members must take the training whether they own a live animal or not. It is advised that they complete the QAEC training one time as soon as they are enrolled in the project area.
