The 2023 4-H Small Engines/Lawn Mower/Tractor Safety School will begin on Tuesday, March 21 and will run until April 18, 2023 at the University of Illinois Extension office in Effingham County located at 1209 N. Wenthe Drive, Effingham, IL. The safety sessions are held each Tuesday from 6:45 PM to 8:30 PM.

Each year the University of Illinois Extension office in Effingham County offers this important program, which is designed to enhance safety awareness among youth working on small engines, operating lawn mowers, garden tractors and farm tractors. The program is geared toward both rural and urban youth. The 4-H program fee is $20. This program is Free to those who have paid their yearly 4-H program fee in their 4-H club. Youth do not need to be a 4-H member or reside in Effingham County to attend. Everyone is welcome!
