NatureFest at Russell Woods

NatureFest is an annual event for Earth Day coordinated by Illinois Extension, DeKalb County Forest Preserve, and DeKalb County Soil and Water. Master Naturalist volunteers help lead nature-themed stations at the Russell Woods Forest Preserve and the Natural Resource Education Center in Genoa. Families with elementary-school-age children spend time in nature engaging with hands-on learning activities with a volunteer who guides the experience and answers questions.
