Seed packaging in Southern Illinois

Project Focus
Youth Development

Providing food and habitat for pollinators is something anyone can do by planting the right plants in the right place. Access to native plants is limited in southern Illinois. Since 2023, Master Naturalists and Master Gardeners have collected, sorted, packaged, and labeled native seed packets. The seeds are collected from local pollinator gardens, and the packets are distributed at Extension programs. So far, 3,400 packets of seeds have been prepared and distributed locally.
