Habitat
Area youth were invited to the Marion County Community Garden to view the Pollinator plot, which promotes pollinator habitat. The youth planted herbs and flowers that will help the vegetables be pollinated, but also create a habitat in the middle of town for pollinators. The youth left with herbs and flowers to promote a pocket habitat at their home. This also promoted a new Jr. Master Gardener program where youth also learned about milkweed and monarch butterflies.
