Bureau County 4-Hers see success at state horse show

Two Bureau County 4-H youth saw success at the recent Illinois State Fair Junior Horse Show held at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Springfield.  Payton Frueh, Bureau County Open Door 4-H Club, and Quincy Hochstatter, Manlius Boys and Girls 4-H Club, both represented the county well.

Payton received first place honors in Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Ranch Riding, Pattern Riding, Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, Western Halter, Showmanship, and Egg and Spoon.  Second place honors were awarded for Dressage, third place for Trail and fourth place for Hunter under Halter.  Payton also won Western High Point 10-14. 

Quincy earned first place honors in Ranch Horse Pleasure, Barrels, and Poles, second in Equitation, Ranch Riding, third in Reining All Ages, and fourth in Hunter Under Saddle and Flag Race.  Quincy also was recognized for High Point Speed Horse.
