Bureau County youth can showcase public presentation skills in 4-H

4-H excels in preparing youth to speak confidently. The 4-H Public Presentation Contest allows youth to highlight their exceptional presentation abilities in a supportive environment. Youth will learn from professionals as well as their fellow 4-H members.

Youth ages 8 – 18 can participate in Bureau County’s Public Presentation Contest on March 14th beginning at 5:00 pm at the University of Illinois Extension office, 850 Thompson St., Princeton.  4-H membership is required to participate.

Speech categories include formal, illustrated, original works, and oral interpretation.  Youth selected in a local county 4-H contest to advance to the state contest will compete on April 30th at Parkland Community College in Champaign.
