The summer series of the University of Illinois Extension’s Four Seasons Gardening Program, which focuses on environmental stewardship, home gardening, and backyard food production, got underway the month of June. The final session of the summer series, set for Tuesday, August 11th at 1:30 p.m., is titled “Adventures in Edible Landscaping”. This webinar will explore the use of plants that are not only visually attractive, but also edible. Join horticulture educator Austin Little to look at the benefits of introducing edible plants into the landscape, as well as the unique challenges of edible plants. In addition, the webinar will discuss great options of edible plants to use, as well as some design basics when adding them to your landscape.  

Webinars are available for viewing from wherever you have internet access by pre-registering.  Recorded videos of these sessions can be viewed following the program at go.illinois.edu/fourseasonsrecordings. Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all local county offices are closed and are unable to offer viewing options at those locations.

       The Fall series of Four Seasons Gardening will kick off in September, with registration opening in August. Stay tuned for those dates and times!
