Brush off the trowel and get ready for spring with the University of Illinois Extension’s Four Seasons Gardening series starting in late March. The public is invited to participate in this free webinar series. The first session of the series titled “Growing and Using Herbs” will run on March 23rd at 1:30 p.m. This session will explore how herbs have been used throughout history as flavorings, medicines, decorations, scents, and protective garden plants. Join Horticulture Educator Nancy Kreith as she demonstrates how to successfully grow herbs for ornamental and wildlife value, culinary use, or craft projects.
Two additional topics in the spring series include “What’s That Bug? How to Identify Insects”, set for Tuesday, April 27th at 1:30 p.m., and “Green Screens, Fences and Borders” set for Tuesday, May 11th at 1:30 p.m.

pre-registering at go.illinois.edu/fourseasons. Recorded videos of these sessions can be viewed following the program at go.illinois.edu/fourseasonsrecordings. Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all local county offices are currently unable to offer viewing options at those locations.
