Four Seasons Gardening Program Offers Free Winter Series Webinars

The winter series of the University of Illinois Extension’s Four Seasons Gardening Program, which focuses on environmental stewardship, home gardening, and backyard food production, gets underway the month of January. The public is invited to participate in this free webinar series. The first session of the series titled “Fruit Tree Pruning” will run on January 19th at 1:30 p.m. Pruning fruit trees in late winter is a necessary task to reap the greatest benefit and yield from trees. Join Extension Horticulture Educator Andrew Holsinger as he presents a variety of pruning techniques for apples and other fruit trees.

Two additional topics in the winter series include “Therapeutic Value of Nature”, set for Tuesday, February 16th at 1:30 p.m., and “Adaptive Gardening” set for Tuesday, March 9th at 1:30 p.m.

Webinars are available for viewing from wherever you have internet access by pre-registering at go.illinois.edu/fourseasons.
