Get hooked on 4-H with Illinois’ Virtual Fishing Fun-Fest

4-H members currently enrolled in Fishing 1, 2, or 3 are eligible to win big this spring!   Between April 17 – May 15 these 4-H members can enter a statewide fishing contest (Fun-Fest) via smartphone. New spinning rod and reel combos will be given away weekly to the longest largemouth bass and channel catfish entered. The simple contest details can be found on the Illinois 4-H Events Page  and Illinois 4-H Facebook page.

You will need a smart phone to take a picture of your catch! In the picture, you must clearly show the length of the fish in inches (take a picture of the fish with a tape measure for proof) AND the picture must show a secret item that will be announced on the Illinois 4-H Facebook Page on April 17; April 24; May 1; and May 8. The secret item you include in the picture insures the fish was caught that week! Two winners will be announced each week (one largemouth bass and one catfish entry) on April 24; May 1; May 8; and May 15. Contact Curt Sinclair at sinclair@illinois.edu with questions. Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine on the lake!
