LaSalle County 4-H Game Changers SPIN Club opens enrollment
4-H Game Changers SPIN (SPecial INterest) Club invites youth ages 8-14 to participate in this highly engaging club experience which teaches youth coding skills through fun exercises. Participants will learn how to use computer science (CS) to create games, solve problems and engage themselves in topics they are passionate about.
Developed by Google and West Virginia University Extension Service, this hands-on experience includes a computer-based activity on Google’s CS First platform, as well as two unplugged activities that bring coding to life through games, physical activities and puzzles. Game Changers is perfect for first-time and beginner coders, ages 8 to 14.
4-H Game Changers SPIN Club will meet for 6, 1-hour sessions beginning Saturday, March 7, 10am at the University of Illinois Extension Education Center and Community Teaching Kitchen, 944 East First St, LaSalle. Additional sessions will be March 14, 28 and April 4, 11, 18. Session locations may very due to club activity.
